Before she was a successful interior designer working from her home in Connecticut, Colleen Siddig grew up in Cape Cod, traveled the world, and lived in many places as far as Hong Kong or Paris where she started curating her unique style.
Her career began in journalism and she worked in TV production for a few years, but she soon decided to go back to school to pursue her passion for design and build the life she dreamed of, one that gave her more flexibility and control.
This conversation is full of tips and insights for founders and freelancers working on their own, having to deal with the logistical aspects of running a business as well as finding time to nurture their creativity. It was also incredibly inspiring to hear her talk about her decision to go back to school to transform her life and career during a recession and boldly follow her dreams.
